This list provides an explanation on the organisation that supplies the surveillance data to EMADDC. The column 'code' corresponds to the item 'source' as used in the BUFR and ASCII files. The list is generated automatically via the EMADDC processing system and will be updated regularly and further elaborated in time.
Air Support provides data via several receivers in various countries and each receiver uses an ICAO code of the nearest airport or the airport itself.
Explanation on the column 'type':
- 'mode_s' refers to Mode-S EHS data being supplied by Air Traffic Service entities using Air Traffic Control surveillance radars;
- 'adsb' refers to Mode-S EHS data being supplied by partners using a local Mode-S / ADS-B receiver. ADS-B in this regard means the data combination of ADS-B and Mode-S EHS data.
