EMADDC is pleased to announce that a new data stream from Czech ATC CANI has been successfully moved into production on the R2.2 production system today. Read more about New Czech Radar Data Stream Operational on EMADDC R2.2 Production System
Last night, KNMI experienced DNS-related issues which temporarily impacted access to several internal web services. This resulted in EMADDC unable to share data with its users through both FTP and KDP. Read more about Operational Update: Temporary KNMI DNS Disruption
To improve consistency and reduce storage requirements, EMADDC has introduced a new naming convention for data providers. Some data from the 3.0 system is already being processed within the current R2.2 operational system, meaning these changes are already reflected in the current products. In collaboration with the Met Office, EMADDC has determined that the new real-time decoders are ready for deployment to production. This update is postponed to the afternoon of July 7th. Read more about New real-time decoder for Met Office Global data to become operational on July 7th - UPDATE
As of December 2024, EMADDC is connected to NewPENS, the pan-European network for ANSPs. The initial data received via this network originates from MUAC and is scheduled to become operational within two weeks. Due to reduced availability, the update is postponed to July 7th. ADSB Support (formerly known as AirSupport) is delivering a new real-time data stream to EMADDC, comprising information from various receivers within their new operational network. As of April 1st, this data has been processed in the prd environment and is accessible to users of the EMADDC products. Read more about New ADSB Support data stream
After the unsuccessful upgrade of ftpservice.knmi.nl on October 15, 2024, KNMI's IT provider has effectively tested new settings and an updated upgrade procedure. KNMI is now prepared to make another attempt at the upgrade on April 14, 2025. Read more about Planned upgrade of KNMI"s FTP Service
As of February 4th, the daily, weekly, and monthly coverage maps available under "Data QC" have been enhanced to include a single, interactive global map view. This new feature allows users to select or deselect sources and provides the capability to zoom in and out for a more detailed view. Effective January 31, 2025, the EMADDC operational data, which was previously available exclusively via ftpservice.knmi.nl, can now also be accessed on KDP as restricted datasets. Users with access to the existing datasets on FTP may request access to the KDP datasets by contacting opendata@knmi.nl. Read more about EMADDC Operational Data available through KDP
