KNMI's IT provider made efforts to address these issues, but unfortunately, they were unable to resolve them and ultimately decided to roll back to the previous configuration. The upgrade was expected to require minor adjustments to users' SSH configurations, as detailed in our blog post, and was anticipated to lead to only a brief downtime of several minutes.
Regrettably there were significant complications during the migration that rendered SFTP connections to the server impossible. Additionally, EMADDC experienced disruptions, resulting in a data gap of several hours. Since KNMI’s IT provider was unable to resolve the issue, a rollback has been implemented, and they plan to attempt the upgrade again at a later date. EMADDC will keep users informed as more information becomes available. We have been assured that an alternative upgrade approach will be employed to prevent a recurrence of these issues.
We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.
Best regards,
The EMADDC Team
